About the Book

I was twelve years old when the world ended. For eight years I've survived in this shithole once known as Earth, fighting the alien parasite that mutated most of the population into bloodthirsty freaks while the rest of us became the lunch special on their alien menu. Now things are changing, and not for the better. The parasite is evolving, becoming smarter, stronger, and deadlier. They've already stolen everything from me--my home, my family, even the man I loved. It's time for this bullshit to end once and for all. My name is Bixby, and I'm the resistance.

About the Author :
Michelle Bryan lives in Nova Scotia with her three favorite guys: her husband, her son, and her crazy fur baby. Besides her family, her other passions in life consist of chocolate, coffee, and writing. When not busy managing a chocolate store or spending the day at her computer, she can be found with her nose stuck in any sort of apocalypse book. Marnye Young is an award winning narrator for New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors. She is a Yale MFA grad SAG-AFTRA voice stage and screen actor who has spent her life in the South, Midwest and North. Having performed in Romania, Sweden, Scotland, NYC and more she has been reviewed for her impeccable comic timing as well as her ability to make you cry and has been called an accent guru. When she isn't narrating she's podcasting, writing a self-deprecating comical blog about her identical twins, fishing, following NASCAR, volunteering (CRIS radio and TIC), running a small play-reading group in NYC, raising chickens and of course "mom"ing. Her favorite literary character is Sherlock Holmes.

Review :
"Strain of Resistance takes a flooded genre and puts an original spin on it." -- "Kayla Howarth, author of the Institute Series" "Bryan's writing is brilliant, eloquent, and, at times, grotesque and downright disgusting--the perfect combination to create a novel about surviving the end of the world." -- "Red City Review"
