Excerpt: Absalom is a supervillain in the Marvel Universe. He was created by writers Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, and penciller Mark Pacella. His first appearance was in X-Force #10. Little is known of Absalom's past prior to him joining the immortal mutant group known as the Externals. It is known he lived sometime in the Old West, where he was to be hanged for the murder of the renowned lawman and gunfighter Caleb Hammer. Upon his first death his spines grew, cutting himself free and scaring away the crowd. At some point in time he joined another group of Externals. It was later revealed that Absalom is infected with the deadly disease known as the Legacy Virus.
