Extracto:, El Teatro de La Latina es un local teatral ubicado en Madrid, en el barrio del mismo nombre, obra del arquitecto Pedro Muguruza. Ha sido uno de los escenarios mas importantes para la representacion de comedia y revista en la historia del teatro de Espana a lo largo de siglo XX. Debe su nombre a Beatriz Galindo, la Latina, escritora castellana del siglo XV. Teatro madrileno ubicado en la plaza de la cebada. Fue creado en al primera decada del siglo XX por el anticuario Juan Lafora Calatayud, a partir de un cine construido sobre los terrenos de un antiguo hospital. El teatro, bautizado bajo el seudonimo de Beatriz Galindo "La Latina,"actuaron hasta los anos treinta companias como las de Emilio Sagi, Salvador Videgain o la del maestro Guerrero, fue de nuevo cine durante la guerra civil. En 1945 fue comprado para su hijo por Dolores Diez madre de Luis Fernandez-Diez casado con Victoria Cuenca, hacia el ano 1955-56 se le alquila a Ignacio Fernandez Iquino y mas tarde se le alquila al empresario Matias Colsada que lo comprara cuarenta anos despues, en 1977.
