About the Book

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Pages: 37. Chapters: Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Albert Finney, David Suchet, Peter Ustinov, Agatha Christie's Poirot, List of Agatha Christie's Poirot episodes, Agatha Christie's Marple, Tropes in Agatha Christie's novels, Bundle Brent, Hercule Poirot in literature, Parker Pyne, Julia McKenzie, St. Mary Mead, Murder Ahoy!, Tommy and Tuppence, Austin Trevor, Colonel Race, Superintendent Battle, Mark Easterbrook. The longer episodes are based on Christie's novels. The chronology of these episodes differs significantly from that of the novels and, as with the shorter episodes, some stories whose book versions were set in other decades are moved to the 1930s. Of these filmed versions, the one glaring inconsistency is with "The Mysterious Affair at Styles." This "episode" (which was also Christie's first Poirot novel), was taken out of the previously established time-line that the series created and placed it back in 1917 and deals with Poirot's first mystery in England and his reacquaintance with Hastings (injured during the war) and Inspector Japp. A significant effort was made to make the actors appear at least 10 years younger (more make-up and darker hair). After this episode, a...
