About the Author :
Tristan Tzara (1896-1963) was the legendary and prolific poet, playwright, founder of Dada, and on and off again collaborator of Breton's Surrealist group. Translator Mary Ann Caws is distinguished Professor of English, French, and Comparative Literature in the Graduate School of The City University of New York. She is the author, translator, and editor of numerous books on the major figures of both Dada and Surrealism.
