About the Book

A new text from three experienced authors, Managing Finance addresses the learning outcomes of the four Managing Finance modules, NGMS 113, 114, 115 and 116. Written specifically to address the curriculum, the text is designed to meet the requirement s of each assessment criteria, to present the necessary theory clearly, and to support competency based training. The book is very user-friendly and clearly set out, being aimed at the wide range of students who undertake these modules. It provides a useful depth of coverage of each topic, avoiding superficial treatment of important concepts. Relevance of material to the workplace is emphasised, to assist student learning. Special attention has been paid to ensure that there is an extensive mix and number of exercises and activities to effectively support the content. These help students check their progress, strengthen their understanding, and also make the text suitable for distance education or flexible delivery. All four modules have been covered in the one book in order to provide a cost-effective and consistent resource for students and teachers. These three authors are well-qualified to write in this area. Ana Anandarajah has extensive industry experience as an accountant and budget controller. Al Aseervatham has extensive teaching and industry experience, and is currently a Principal Teacher in Accounting and Financial Management at Moreton Bay Institute of TAFE, Mt Gravatt, in Brisbane. Howard Reid is currently Head of Management and Small Business Bankstown TAFE in Sydney.
