The new second edition of Dr Brown's highly-acclaimed book covers basic physiology, pharmacology, the child in hospital, all aspects of paediatric anaesthesia including chapters on equipment, monitoring, anaesthesia for each surgical sub-specialty, hypothermia and hypertension. Practical techniques which are of central importance to anaesthesia such as ventilation, intubation and intravenous cannulation are described in detail with appropriate illustrations to support the descriptions.
