About the Book

Four intriguing women, the good, the bad, the evil and the lost, whose individual quests and intertwining needs propel them into the same loop of life, linking their outrageous journeys to their surprising comeuppance. Marla, a 27-year old good girl, is shattered by divorce. Restarting her life with no visible skills is hindered by the beautiful, envious, lost girl Carol; the unscrupulous, money-chasing, promiscuous drug addict, bad girl Linda; and devious Xiumei, a 35-year old, unattractive Chinese immigrant who chooses to turn her life around through greed. Marla has no direction but is not a quitter. Linda's only tool is sex. Carol is incapable of answering the call of friendship. Xiumei envisions big money in her pursuit of happiness as a drug dealer. Sex, greed, crime and yes, love, drive this fast moving wild ride to its satisfying ending.

About the Author :
MK is Katherine Mitchell Biography Until recently KATHERINE was a member of the Writers Guild of America, West. She earned that privilege by developing storylines for television and being contributing writer. Three of her original screenplays were acquired under paid options by production companies. The film production companies' various problems prevented the completion of the motion pictures. Under the penname MK, she has been very productive as a novelist. Works are: YOURS FOREVER . . . MAYBE, a romantic adventure novel was first published by Kindle/Amazon and later the paperback version in 2012. Her second romantic adventure which is set in the 1950s, entitled WASTED . . . MAYBE has just become available. Still unpublished is a lighthearted novella entitled CARNAL WOMAN-A TRAVELOGUE, about a one week sojourn in picturesque Portugal. KATHERINE also wrote THE ISLAND, a detailed character outline and story bible for a television serial that almost materialized as a daytime soap at Columbia TV and which will become a novel. A SKIRT AND A SMILE is a collection of sexy short stories. KATHERINE 's novels have been compared to those of Jackie Collins, Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel, but she feels she is still mastering the genre. Her two romantic adventures are being followed by others in rapid succession. Also, on the backburner, she has a more literary endeavor for a larger canvass. The depth and the gut of that story parallel a true memoir, depicting two women's journeys from and through World War II Europe, Hollywood California and Boca Raton, South Florida respectively. She has won first prize for a short story; had an entertainment column for almost two years in a specialized national newspaper originating from California; interviewed several celebrities and developed a Profile of one time hair styling superstar, Vidal Sassoon. KATHERINE is a prolific writer, easy-to-read storyteller with unique life experiences.
