About the Book

For me, the journey from hard-line Christian fundamentalism to more liberal theology has not been an easy process, as I have had to shed preciously held beliefs and understandings, which had shaped my worldview of life, the universe - and the God I had believed in. The journey has been and continues to be, a quest of discovery to find what is true and what is real. But truth is ultimately liberating. Even though my current understanding of these things will no doubt continue to be refined, I write this book for those who desperately want to find what is real and what is not. There are some who will fiercely disagree with, and take offence with some of the conclusions I have drawn. But I hope that this book will help many readers find answers to some of the big questions about life and that in their own journey, they too, will begin to understand the paradox of the divine hiddenness of an elusive God.

About the Author :
Robin Boom has worked as a self-employed agronomist for the past 30 years, focussing on soil chemistry and plant and animal nutrition. At the age of fourteen, Robin had a spiritual encounter which set him on a quest for understanding spiritual truth. Robin immersed himself in fundamentalist Christianity for over thirty years. While living in London in his late twenties, he was a regular speaker at Speakers Corner at Hyde Park, getting involved in debates on science, philosophy and religion with anybody who was up for a discussion on these issues. Although he is still sympathetic with many of its core values, Robin sees some flaws in the greater Biblical narrative, and now considers himself a post-fundamentalist Christian. He is married to Sally and together they live on a small pastoral farm, raising sheep, cattle and horses. They have three grown-up children. Wordwyze was established in 2018, and is run as a sole proprietorship. Colleen has edited 3 books in that year, and this is the second book which she is bringing to full publication. Wordwyze is able to proofread & edit any publication or written work, as well as help authors self-publish and even design covers.
