She, or rather her make-up, is handsome, and her style is perfect?nothing wanting. Everything is so distinguished, rich, and magnificent, that one would really take her for a great lady. I should be happy with my husband, for I would never grow careless of my appearance. I would adorn myself to please him, as carefully as I arrayed myself when I wished to win his approval for the first time; indeed, I can not understand how it is possible for a man and a woman to love each other constantly, and incessantly strive to please each other, and then neglect each other after marriage.
