About the Author :
Lorraine C. Smith holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has taught ESL for 25 years on all levels, particularly the college level. She has co-authored six ESL reading skills texts and has presented at local, national, and international conferences. Professor Smith teaches in the M.A. TESOL/BE Program at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
